Thanks to someone recognizing the suspect from this video, the suspect has been identified as a 14-year old boy. He was charged with burglary and petit theft, and when asked by the detective why he stole the packages, he replied that he was bored and thought it would be fun.

Detectives from the Polk County Sheriff's Office are trying to identify and locate a porch pirate who struck in the Mulberry neighborhood of Preserve at Sundance (near Shepherd Road).
The suspect walked up to the victim's porch on April 12th at around 3:15 p.m. and looked at packages on the front porch. The suspect knocked on the door, walked away, then returned a few moments later and stole a couple of the packages.
The suspect appears to be a juvenile white male and likely lives in the area.
